BEAUTIFUL MISTAKES - Teaser

Sometimes Beautiful Mistakes happens. Those images should never have existed. It’s the result of a failed render, an unexpected surprise while I was making my new 2021 showreel intro.

After debugging my scene file and finishing my showreel, I was so in love with this happy accident, that I decided to create something out of it.

That's the beauty of the process. Every now and then it brings wonderful failures.

FIRST PART - EXPERIMENTATION

First, I explored a bit the visual concept with several stylesframes and motion experimentations. Because it's the result of a render bug, it is very experimental. All the images are unique and unpredictable. You don't know what will be the result before you hit the render icon.

That makes the all process very exciting.

SECOND PART - CREATE A TEASER

But even with those explorations, these visuals got stuck in my mind. I needed to do more, and try to finish this project in a way.
The particularity of those images for me, is that they are very different of what I usually do. There is this title design vibe in it.

With that idea in my mind, I created a fake teaser for a fake show.
A show that could take place in the 80s, with a storytelling about failing and trying again in a tech/computer environnement.

And because it is totally made up, and it is my fake show, it would be produced by HBO !
